Banner for the National Clearinghouse on Families and Youth.

Dear NCFY Friends,

We’re writing to let you know about an exciting change here at NCFY. You may have already started to notice that we have a new look, and we’d like to formally introduce you to our brand new logo. The logo features a dandelion image alongside the NCFY moniker.

At NCFY, the National Clearinghouse on Families & Youth, our mission is to link you to the information and resources you need to serve young people and their families in new and effective ways.

With that in mind, we chose the dandelion to represent growth, dissemination, possibility and resilience, concepts we value here at NCFY and ideals we try to foster among organizations that serve families and youth.

Did you know…?

  • The dandelion is one of the hardiest plants in the world.
  • Dandelions spread further and grow under more adverse circumstances than most other plants.
  • Every part of the dandelion is useful.

Over the next several months, we’ll introduce the new logo across our publications and products—starting with our Web site, ncfy.acf.hhs.gov. You’ll find several new features there, too. We’ve added new podcasts and publications; in the coming months, we’ll add even more practical tools and resources. Check back often for fresh content and creative ideas.

To be sure, NCFY offers the same great resources as always. We are here to help you find the information you need to help you better serve youth and families. Just call (301) 608-8098 or e-mail ncfy@acf.hhs.gov. And while you’re at it, let us know how you think we’re doing.

Sincerely,

The NCFY Staff
