Literature Database

The National Clearinghouse on Families & Youth (NCFY) mentoring children of prisoners literature database contains abstracts, or summaries, of publications that focus on mentoring research and best practices as well as issues related to children with incarcerated parents.

NCFY maintains a Reading Room which houses the publications in our collection for those interested in reviewing materials in the Clearinghouse collection.

The Reading Room is located at:

5515 Security Lane, Suite 6008
Rockville, MD  20852
Open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

While guests are always invited to the Reading Room during open hours, please e-mail us at ncfy@acf.hhs.gov or call us at 301-608-8098 before visiting to ensure that staff will be available to assist you.

Alternatively, information on obtaining a publication, either through ordering from the publisher’s website or through downloading (in the case that a publication is public domain), is generally included in the abstract.

NCFY-produced publications are available here.
